clubs will take up your free time and require attention
without support and upkeep, clubs can fail over time
minimal responsibilities and expectations
be a member of an active community
contribute to club projects and events
To establish a club we require a minimum of 8 players. They should all be active on the server and nobody should add more than one account (no alts) to your group. Check that your group does not meet any exclusion criteria, such as personal friend groups, and make sure you have a central theme that is suitable
We've included the requirements below for you and your group to look over. We recomended that you create a Google Docs to outline your draft. That way everyone is able to contribute to how your club is structured. Once you've completed the draft, you will need to submit your responses to our Club Draft form
After submitting your Club Draft, feedback will be provided to ensure your Club Charter meets our strict quality requirements. While a draft can be updated repeatedly, your Club Charter is final. Make sure your charter clearly and explicitly outlines all the rules and requirements club members must follow!
Copy these questions into your document, try to answer as many as you can to get your creative juices flowing. This isn't required, but should provide your group with a good base to build from when creating your first club draft:
What is the name of our club? This should be unique and memorable, ideally (but not necessarily) one word and between 6-12 letters so it's easy to type in chat.
How will our club serve the community? What is the purpose of our club, do we have an outcome to achieve, or do our activities repeat?
Who should join our club and for what reason? Are we builders, miners, socialisers, fighters, creators, or something else entirely?
How will our club recruit new members? Are we going to network with other groups, create posters and ads, or simply talk to friends?
Where does our club exist? Are we playing on VanillaCove, NewCove, exclusively chatting through Discord, or independent from the server?
How will we ensure new members are properly integrated into our club, who is responsible for welcoming, and how can we help new members get started?
Where will our meetings take place and who may attend? On the Minecraft server, Discord, somewhere else? Club members only or open to the public?
Will our club be economically active? Should we consider building a shop on the server, and how will we manage the money earned? What will we buy?
Once you've got some ideas together, start by writing complete sentences to outline your purpose, rules, and club activities
You don't need to follow our format, you should definitely tailor the draft to the needs and purpose of your club
You will need to extract the relevant information from your document to enter into our form so you can submit your club draft
